MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The singer has been able to make major international advancements into Latin popular music scene. Una Lady Como Tu from 2016 won the Colombian Kids Choice Award as Favorite Song in 2017. The album he released as his debut ADN was released through La Industria Inc., which is a Medellin-based Sony distribution company. It reached the top 8 spot within the Top Latin Albums Chart. The following year, he teamed up with Ozuna for the creation of Vaina Loca which reached number five on the Top Latin Albums chart. Mala Influencia was which was released in the year 2020, by Noriel and her Dopamina album that year. He also appeared in a duet with TINI to perform her online single Maldita Foto. The hit song La Bachata from 2000 was made available in 2023. Turizo was brought up in a music-oriented environment since both his mom and older brother are professional musicians. In interviews, Turizo has stated that music is an essential part of his life. As a child he learned how to play the saxophone, ukulele and piano. The first choice for his career was to be a veterinarian, but his brother Julian encouraged him to learn how to sing under the help of a Cuban instructor. What happened was that he found his talents for singing, and the result transformed his career path.
